Life changes reduce risk of heart disease 

The statistics are impressive:

For making the following changes, the percentage risk reduction of heart disease is:

✅Reduce total cholesterol by 50% = 50% risk reduction for IHD (heart disease)

✅Reduce diastolic blood pressure (the bottom number) by 6mmHg = 16% risk reduction for IHD

✅stop smoking = 50% risk reduction in sudden MI (heart attack)

✅maintain healthy weight & waist measurement = 35%-55% reduction in IHD 

✅>150minutes/week moderate physical activity = 35%-55% reduces risk of IHD 

✅>=5 servings fruit & veg daily = 20%-25% risk reduction for IHD
